Courtenay Riverway Heritage Trail March 20, 2016

This self guided tour will take you from the starting point at the Courtenay & District Museum south along the Courtenay Riverway. Along the way you will learn about the Courtenay River’s importance to the development of the Comox Valley, and its use as a major trade route since the beginning of human settlement. You’ll also enjoy a walk along one of British Columbia’s most picturesque greenways, which passes by the Courtenay Airpark and Marina and is home to the Courtenay Estuary and a variety of wildlife.
